Position Overview
Telecel Ghana seeks a results-driven Zonal Sales Manager to lead revenue growth and market expansion across the West Region. The role focuses on driving subscriber acquisition, strengthening distribution networks, and ensuring the achievement of key commercial and operational performance targets.
The successful candidate will work closely with agents, retailers, freelancers, and internal teams to execute sales strategies and deliver sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Sales Execution
- Drive regional revenue growth by implementing effective sales strategies
- Lead the conversion of airtime into reloads across the assigned zone
- Ensure consistent achievement of revenue and sales performance targets
Acquisition & Market Expansion
- Deliver acquisition targets across Mobile, Telecel Cash, Fixed Broadband, and SME segments
- Work with freelancers, retailers, and partners to increase subscriber growth in the region
- Identify, develop, and optimize new and existing acquisition channels
Telecel Cash & Distribution Management
- Manage Telecel Cash distribution performance across float, liquidity, merchant, and agent networks
- Ensure achievement of all Telecel Cash KPIs within the zone
- Strengthen agent and merchant network performance and engagement
Training & Capacity Building
- Deliver product knowledge training to agents prior to product launches
- Provide ongoing coaching and refresher training based on operational needs
- Strengthen sales capability across the distribution ecosystem
Planning, Execution & Reporting
- Plan, prioritize, and execute regional sales activities effectively and independently
- Monitor performance data and provide actionable insights to management
- Ensure timely reporting on sales performance, market trends, and operational challenges
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in sales, distribution, or related commercial roles
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work across different locations within Ghana
- Strong ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
- Proven ability to plan, execute, and deliver against performance targets
