ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a results-driven and entrepreneurial City Head – RTEC (Ready-to-Eat Cereal) to lead market expansion and drive category growth in Takoradi. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong distribution networks, increasing product visibility, and driving consumer adoption across key channels.
CORE DELIVERABLES
- Drive sales and distribution of RTEC products across Takoradi and surrounding areas.
- Ensure consistent availability and strong in-store visibility across modern trade outlets, supermarkets, schools, hotels, and convenience stores.
- Develop and execute city-level strategies to grow the RTEC category, focusing on breakfast and quick-meal consumption occasions.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with distributors and retailers to maximize reach and shelf presence.
- Train, coach, and supervise the sales team to ensure effective product placement, merchandising, and sampling activities.
- Monitor consumer trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Execute in-store activations, visibility campaigns, and product tasting sessions to drive consumer awareness and adoption.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Track and analyze city-level performance, and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Ensure effective stock rotation and timely replenishment to prevent stock outs and expires.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotions, campaigns, and awareness initiatives.
- Identify and develop institutional sales opportunities, including schools, offices, and cafeterias.
- Provide actionable market intelligence to support continuous improvement and decision-making.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably within the food and beverage category.
- Proven experience managing territory or city-level sales operations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and solve challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Takoradi and surrounding areas.
