Role Overview

BRAC Ghana Savings & Loans Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer to support its finance operations. The successful candidate will manage financial transactions, ensure accuracy in reporting, and contribute to maintaining strong financial controls in line with regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage daily cash and bank transactions accurately
  • Prepare cash requisitions and ensure proper authorization and documentation
  • Prepare cash certificates and maintain accurate records
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records in line with internal policies and regulatory standards
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank of Ghana’s digital financial services directives
  • Assist in managing payment applications and financial transaction systems
  • Support data management and basic financial analysis to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience in handling cash and bank transactions, reconciliations, and financial records
  • Knowledge of digital financial services directives of the Bank of Ghana
  • Familiarity with payment applications and financial systems is an advantage
  • Basic data management and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
