The successful candidate will oversee a designated kitchen section, ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation, and support the kitchen leadership team in maintaining exceptional culinary standards, food safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to approved recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation procedures.
- Prepare special meals and accommodate substitute or customized menu items as required.
- Monitor and regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, broilers, roasters, and other kitchen equipment.
- Manage food thawing and storage procedures in compliance with food safety standards.
- Ensure proper food portioning, arrangement, garnishing, and presentation.
- Maintain accurate food logs and kitchen documentation.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and quantity throughout preparation and service periods.
- Communicate staffing or operational support needs during peak service hours.
- Inform the Head Chef of excess food items for potential use in specials or alternative menu offerings.
- Coordinate with Food & Beverage service teams regarding menu specials and unavailable items.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards across assigned kitchen areas.
- Follow all company policies, food safety regulations, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions promptly to management.
- Complete all required safety training and certifications.
- Ensure personal appearance and uniform standards remain professional and compliant with hotel policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Anticipate guest needs and contribute to exceptional dining experiences.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, and service staff.
- Build positive working relationships and support teamwork to achieve departmental goals.
- Assist management with staff training, scheduling, coaching, performance support, and team motivation.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and culinary excellence.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or kitchen management.
Educational & Professional Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary or kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
