Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Commis I to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, kitchen organization, and maintaining high hygiene and quality standards to support exceptional dining experiences for our guests.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, peeling, washing, and storing food items.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to approved recipes and preparation standards.
  • Prepare and cook meals in line with established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Prepare cold dishes and assist with a variety of food preparation activities.
  • Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, and microwaves safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor food quality throughout the cooking and preparation process.
  • Test foods to ensure proper cooking temperatures and quality standards are achieved.
  • Set up and organize workstations before food preparation and ensure proper breakdown after service.
  • Plate and serve food in appropriate portions and presentation styles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, knives, and work surfaces.
  • Ensure all appliances and food items maintain the correct temperature in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations consistently.
  • Support team members during busy service periods to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or kitchen leadership.

Educational & Professional Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related culinary or kitchen experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No license or certification required.
