We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sociology Teacher to join our academic team and inspire students through engaging and intellectually stimulating instruction.
Position Summary
The Sociology Teacher will deliver high-quality teaching across Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes. The successful candidate will create a welcoming and engaging classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Sociology lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Prepare students effectively for Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Foster an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and independent thinking.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student performance and progress.
- Develop instructional materials and learning activities that enhance students’ understanding of sociological concepts and contemporary social issues.
- Encourage students to develop analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development and success.
- Maintain high professional and ethical teaching standards at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Education, or a related field.
- Master’s degree qualification in Sociology is preferred.
- At least five (5) years of teaching experience in Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes with a proven track record of student success.
- Teaching certification in the Cambridge curriculum is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.
