We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our growing team.

Job Summary

The Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. The successful candidate will use modern diagnostic equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and deliver high-quality repairs while maintaining excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical faults and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, and drivetrain systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and scheduled servicing.
• Repair or replace defective mechanical components using approved tools and techniques.
• Conduct engine tune-ups and performance testing to ensure vehicles operate efficiently.
• Inspect and repair vehicle cooling, fuel, and exhaust systems as required.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electronic faults.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Advise customers on maintenance requirements and recommended repairs when necessary.
• Support colleagues and perform other mechanical duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or vocational qualification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an automotive mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of petrol and diesel vehicle systems.
• Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and repair specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s licence is an added advantage.
