Job Title: Master Mentor
Location: Eastern Region & Accra
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary
Jhpiego seeks a highly skilled and experienced Master Mentor to support the delivery of high-quality maternal and newborn healthcare services. The successful candidate will mentor healthcare providers, strengthen clinical competencies, and promote best practices to improve outcomes for mothers and newborns.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site mentorship and coaching to healthcare providers in maternal and newborn care.
- Strengthen clinical capacity in essential modules, including Helping Mothers Survive (HMS) and Helping Babies Breathe (HBB).
- Support the implementation of evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of mentees and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with health facility teams to identify gaps and implement targeted interventions.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and continuous professional development activities.
- Ensure adherence to national and international clinical standards and protocols.
- Prepare and submit timely reports on mentorship activities, progress, and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in Midwifery, Nursing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience and competency in maternal and newborn health modules, including Helping Mothers Survive (HMS) and Helping Babies Breathe (HBB).
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in management, operations, and technical roles within healthcare settings.

- Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge in maternal and newborn healthcare.
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and healthcare teams.
- Apply excellent mentoring, coaching, and facilitation skills.
- Analyze problems and implement practical, evidence-based solutions.
- Work independently and collaboratively in dynamic healthcare environments.
- Exhibit strong organizational and report-writing skills.
