Job Summary

The Public Area Supervisor ensures all public spaces within the hotel are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming at all times. The role involves supervising cleaning staff, maintaining high hygiene standards, and creating a pleasant environment that enhances the overall guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and recreational spaces
  • Inspect public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards
  • Assign tasks and schedules to public area attendants
  • Train, guide, and monitor staff performance to maintain service excellence
  • Ensure timely response to cleaning requests and guest concerns
  • Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory
  • Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards across all public spaces
  • Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up to ensure resolution
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field

Experience Requirements

  • 2 – 4+ years of experience in hospitality or a related field
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or public area supervision is an advantage
