Job Summary
The Public Area Supervisor ensures all public spaces within the hotel are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming at all times. The role involves supervising cleaning staff, maintaining high hygiene standards, and creating a pleasant environment that enhances the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and recreational spaces
- Inspect public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards
- Assign tasks and schedules to public area attendants
- Train, guide, and monitor staff performance to maintain service excellence
- Ensure timely response to cleaning requests and guest concerns
- Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards across all public spaces
- Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up to ensure resolution
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field
Experience Requirements
- 2 – 4+ years of experience in hospitality or a related field
- Previous experience in housekeeping or public area supervision is an advantage
