We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Delivery to lead the delivery, operations, and continuous improvement of our enterprise infrastructure environment.


Position Summary

The Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Delivery will own the end-to-end delivery, performance, and reliability of IT infrastructure services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role ensures seamless operations, strong governance, automation, and continuous improvement while driving alignment between infrastructure services and business objectives.

This role requires a strong technical leader with deep expertise in infrastructure delivery, IT service management, cloud technologies, and operational excellence within large-scale environments.


Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Delivery & Operations Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end delivery and operations of IT infrastructure services across all platforms.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of infrastructure systems.
  • Lead infrastructure provisioning, deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Drive adherence to SLAs, OLAs, and operational KPIs across all infrastructure services.
  • Establish and enforce ITIL-based service management practices across operations.
  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure service stability.
  • Drive continuous service improvement (CSI) initiatives across infrastructure operations.
  • Ensure effective monitoring, alerting, escalation, and incident response mechanisms are in place.

Cloud, Infrastructure Platforms & Modernization

  • Oversee public, private, and hybrid cloud environments to ensure scalability and resilience.
  • Manage on-premises infrastructure including data centers, servers, storage, and related systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration between cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Drive cloud adoption, modernization, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure infrastructure capacity planning meets current and future business demand.
  • Monitor and optimize performance across all infrastructure platforms.

Automation, DevOps & Efficiency

  • Promote automation across infrastructure operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting, and orchestration tools.
  • Reduce manual interventions by implementing efficient deployment and operational workflows.
  • Champion DevOps and platform engineering practices to improve speed and reliability of delivery.

Security, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure infrastructure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement risk mitigation controls.
  • Oversee patch management, vulnerability remediation, and audit compliance activities.
  • Ensure robust disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) capabilities across all platforms.

Vendor, Financial & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors and service providers to ensure SLA compliance and service quality.
  • Provide input into procurement processes, vendor selection, and contract management.
  • Own infrastructure operational budgets and ensure effective cost control.
  • Collaborate with FinOps teams to drive infrastructure cost optimization.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of infrastructure resources across all environments.
  • Engage stakeholders across technical and business teams to ensure alignment and delivery success.

Governance & Audit

  • Ensure all audit observations within the Infrastructure function are closed within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain strong governance practices across infrastructure delivery and operations.
  • Support structured reporting on performance, risks, capacity, and service improvements.

Qualification & Experience

Education

  • Minimum of a University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications are an advantage (e.g., ITIL, COBIT5, PRINCE2/PMP, AWS, Azure, or security certifications).
  • MBA or Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT infrastructure (data centers, networks, compute/storage, end-user services, or cloud environments).
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or management role within a medium to large organization.
  • Proven experience delivering multiple infrastructure initiatives and managing vendors with SLA/KPI accountability.
  • Experience in telecoms or regulated, multi-stakeholder environments is an advantage.

Technical Knowledge

  • IT service management: planning, prioritization, dependency and escalation management.
  • Infrastructure reliability, capacity planning, monitoring, incident/problem management, and DR/BCP.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
  • Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
  • Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) and security best practices.
  • Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, cloud-native platforms).
  • Logging and analytics platforms for infrastructure visibility.
