We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Site Engineer / Setting-Out Engineer to oversee site engineering activities and ensure the accurate execution of construction works. The successful candidate will be responsible for site setting-out, technical supervision, quality control, and coordinating construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within specification.

Key Responsibilities
Site Engineering & Setting-Out
- Carry out accurate site setting-out using approved drawings, survey data, and engineering specifications.
- Establish and verify site control points, levels, and reference benchmarks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
- Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions before construction activities commence.
Construction Supervision
- Supervise daily site activities and monitor contractor performance to ensure quality workmanship.
- Coordinate construction activities with subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Resolve technical issues on site and provide engineering support throughout project execution.
- Monitor project progress and report on site performance, milestones, and potential risks.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with engineering standards, building regulations, and company quality requirements.
- Identify construction defects and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, daily site diaries, and engineering documentation.
- Support quality assurance processes and participate in site audits and inspections.
Health, Safety & Environmental Management
- Promote and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential safety risks.
- Ensure construction activities comply with relevant statutory regulations and company procedures.
- Support incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions where required.
Project Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with architects, quantity surveyors, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of construction materials and equipment.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and engineering documentation for project management.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical recommendations to support informed decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Building Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in site engineering, setting-out, or construction project supervision.
- Demonstrated experience delivering residential, commercial, or infrastructure construction projects.
- Experience using surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS equipment, automatic levels, or similar instruments.
- Membership of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) or another recognised professional body is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, and site management practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications, and construction project management tools.
- Experience using surveying and setting-out equipment.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and committed to delivering safe and high-quality construction outcomes.
Location Requirement
Applicants must currently reside in Sunyani or be willing to relocate to Sunyani if selected for the role.
