Role Overview

Metal Craft Engineering and Construction is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Stores Officer Assistant to support inventory and store operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring proper storage practices, and supporting the efficient flow of materials across projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels regularly
  • Support stock issuance and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
  • Organize and maintain the store to ensure safe and efficient storage of materials
  • Conduct periodic stock counts and assist with inventory audits
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies promptly
  • Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards within the store
  • Collaborate with procurement and project teams to support material requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, HND, or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in storekeeping and inventory management
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control systems and store operations
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
